FAQ
The questions people actually ask.
Short answers, no invented statistics, and no claim that a potato can fix a friendship. It can, however, occupy an inbox.
- Is this a real potato?
- Version 1 is digital only. The recipient gets a potato illustration and your message by email, not a tuber in a box. Physical potatoes may arrive in a later season.
- Will they know it was me?
- We do not ask for your name or email, and we do not print a sender on the gift. That hides you from the recipient. It is not a vanishing spell: email providers can still keep ordinary delivery logs.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Pick a potato, write a note, send it. We keep the process short on purpose.
- What does the recipient see?
- An email from The Big Potato with the illustration you chose and the message you wrote. Nothing that identifies you is included in that email.
- Can this be used to harass someone?
- No. Do not send gifts to people who did not ask for attention. Email support@thebigpotato.store if you need to report a problem.
- Is email delivery guaranteed?
- No. Messages can bounce, land in spam, or be blocked by a mail server. We send the gift; we cannot promise the inbox.
